Sean Barrett This album does exactly what it says on the tin. It truly is a loud bash of teenage feelings! Beach Slang slay it on this album once again. Coming from a scene full of "emo grown up" bands, Beach Slang really for me stand out above the rest with the unique sound and power in their live performances. Favorite track: Warpaint.

Rebecca Beach Slang are heralds of new-age punk music. Frontman and songwriter James Alex says it well: “I’m not that young kid anymore, but I used to be.” The songs are loosely autobiographical as a result, but primarily removed from himself – “There was something really cool about documenting someone else’s life, but seeing myself in it.” A Loud Bash is quite energetic and rowdy, with even more raw punk energy than Beach Slang’s debut. Favorite track: Hot Tramps.

RockAndEyeroll This is a Beach Slang album. It has one gear, one speed. If you loved James Alex's anthemic love-letters to the power of rock'n'roll for anyone that's ever felt left out, let down, left behind, misunderstood, washed up or like a misfit amongst the misfits, then you'll like this record. If you didn't, then this won't change your mind. The "Broken Thrills" ep and "The Things We Do..." lp are, in my humble view, stronger bodies of work and slightly more varied in energy. Solid Beach Slanginess Favorite track: Punks In A Disco Bar.
